About the Author

Maria de Fatima de Lima Pinel

She is currently working to defend her doctoral thesis on "Social Audit in the Legal Amazon", in the University of Zaragoza, renowned for its quality standard. 

Master's degree in Accounting Sciences from the Rio de Janeiro State University - UERJ (1998), being granted the highest grade during her dissertation, commended and appointed to publication:   Telework, working in the digital era.   (www.teletrabalhador.com).  Lectures in Brazil and abroad, including publications and interviews on the subject in newspapers and magazines.

Due to her research on telework, she was invited to actively participate in the Labor Work and Opportunities Group of the Information Society (Socinfo), of the Ministry of Science and Technology in Brazil, for the elaboration of the Green Book, including her Master's dissertation in the book's bibliography.

She was awarded the "Diploma de Estudos Avanzados" (DEA) and M.B.A. at the University of Zaragoza, Spain (both are equivalent to Master's degree in Brazil), with respective titles:  “Anomalias en  la presentacion  del Informe Anual”,  Proposición de Base de Datos como instrumento de control y auditoria”, (2007) and “Deslocalización de las empresas transnacionales y su impacto sobre la perspectiva del trabajo”, University of Zaragoza, Spain (2009).

Graduated in Systems Analysis by PUC-RJ (1984-1987).

She is bachelor of Accounting Sciences by Rio de Janeiro State University - UERJ - (1979-1983).

Other studies: Scientific Parapsychology and Astronomy.

Professional Experience:
Assistant professor at the Accounting Department at the Federal Fluminense University (UFF), giving classes in Accounting undergraduate courses, apart from the disciplines of system audit (accounting) and telework for MBA classes (administration).

She worked at the Rio de Janeiro State Bank (BANERJ) for 1998 years as an auditor, systems auditor, data administrator and senior systems support analyst, and coordinator of automation project at one of BANERJ's offices.  Attended and actively took part in several events, congresses, courses and trainings during this period.
